I'm still fairly new. Is the Aero Pro 3.5 too advanced for me?

No. It has a medium sweet spot and a smooth, controlled feel built for all-court balance — forgiving enough to learn on and good enough that you won't outgrow it. If you want extra forgiveness while you learn, start with the Aero Start instead.
